Jo and Mike contacted me from China regarding their wedding photographer. They chose Gate Street barn as their wedding venue in the heart of Surrey. This is a venue I had photographed before and I wanted to use my experience at the venue and enhance what I had done in the past.
The bridal preparation room is probably not the best feature of Gate Street Barn. It is a bit tiny and with a few bridesmaids can be a bit cluttered. I always try and simplify and isolate clutter and still create clean and harmonious images even among the chaos. I used my new little toy of a set of fractals to get some different bridal images.
After the wedding ceremony and confetti, I took the couple down the adjoining lanes of Gate Street Barn for some photos. We also did some evening shots in the fields behind the car park as a contrast to the earlier shots.
The wedding speeches were great and the guests were lovely, and all in all, this was a perfect wedding with a great couple.
