I arrived early in the morning to take a couple of shots of the dress hanging in the house before going around the corner to Stands of Shepperton to photograph the bride and the bridesmaids having their hair done at the salon. It was then a quick drive to the Mitre at Hampton Court to photograph the guys in the pub before getting to the venue. Hampton Court House is a school overlooking Bushey Park. It is not a normal school and the classrooms seem to belong to a different era.
The wedding ceremony was fantastic with shots to be had from the balcony. After the ceremony, we did a large group shot on the steps before I took Phil and Vittoria to the grotto in the gardens for some interesting couple shots using natural light and off-camera flash that worked very well.
The wedding breakfast room has bright red vivid walls and is full of character. The wedding guests were very lively and I am already planning to photograph one of their friends in December over Christmas.
Hampton Court House is a special venue and one that I hope I return to soon.
